Compliance & Ethics

Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) use at Clearwaters.IT

Clearwaters.IT uses artificial intelligence responsibly and transparently to strengthen the quality, security, and reliability of the services we deliver to federal agencies. Our approach aligns with federal guidance, including the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, and operates within regulated environments governed by FAR, DFARS, and CMMC requirements.

We use AI to enhance—not replace—human expertise. All AI-assisted outputs undergo human review and validation, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and ethical use.

Across our corporate operations, AI helps us work more efficiently and deliver better outcomes for our customers. We use AI to support capture and proposal development, contract management, recruiting and talent matching, internal knowledge management, and IT operations. These capabilities help us reduce risk, improve data quality, and accelerate informed decision-making.

AI tools are evaluated for security, data handling, and contractual compliance prior to use in support of federal programs.

Clearwaters.IT maintains governance over AI use through defined oversight, data protection controls, and human-in-the-loop practices. We are committed to continuous improvement as federal AI policy, standards, and expectations evolve.

Clearwaters.IT does not deploy autonomous decision-making systems in mission-critical or life-safety contexts without explicit customer authorization and appropriate oversight.

Our objective is to apply AI responsibly in ways that strengthen mission performance, reduce operational risk, and enhance value for the federal programs we support.
